Learning Objectives
- Teachers will experience and practice brain-based strategies that demonstrate how to use the knowledge of grammar to improve student style.
- Teachers will discover how the inductive approach both invites students with limited background in grammar to participate, and gradually allows them to internalize useful grammatical knowledge.
- Teachers will learn how to craft questions that guide students to learn form, function, and punctuation rules of specific grammatical structures.
- Teachers will experience the versatility of sentence imitation as a tool to link grammar to a larger unit and to engage all students about the process of interpretation.
